 Based on a reddit sensation, Old Country is a thriller about a young couple who buys a ranch only to find ancient spirits rule the land. Haunting and bone chilling, I could not put this book down. Everything came together into a conclusion that was as terrifying as it was satisfying. If you're looking for a spooky read, go ahead and add this one. But when she gets there, she ends up meeting her mom, 30 years in the past and discovering different parts of her beloved parent she never knew about! |  I was engaged with this story from the beginning! Part true crime, part memoir, the author tells the fascinating story of investigating a sexual assault case woven with her personal story. No spoilers here but it was gripping, intriguing, fascinating, insightful, informative and I simply could not put it down. It was riveting and I cried when it was over. I will recommend it to everyone I know. This is the best book I have read since Educated! |
