SYNOPSIS:
From the author of the smash hit Call it What You Want comes an honest, charming romcom about an up-and-coming romance author stifled with writer's block who decides to force meet-cutes everywhere she goes in the hopes that classic romance tropes can spark something IRL.
Ainsley Green is an up-and-coming romance novelist, on a high from the success of her recent debut. But as she's trying to find the inspiration to write her second book, her long-term boyfriend (and the man of her dreams) breaks her heart and tells her he's met someone else. Stuck in a writer's block and uncertain she can even conceive of a love story she tries to force meet-cutes in the real world in hopes that she can make a classic romcom happen on AND off the page.
But as failed missions bumping into strangers in the grocery store and spilling coffee on men at the cafe result in nothing but embarrassment and stained clothing, Ainsley wonders if she's cut out for her career... Or a real relationship. Thankfully, strong and steady Lucas is there to support her through it.
Told in dual timelines pre- and post-breakup, How to Find Love in the Cereal Aisle is at once a fun, self-aware, hijinks-fueled romcom and a relatable meditation on coming of age and discovering the love we deserve to feel.
